Supernatural

Last night I predicted the winner of Survivor AND the Miss USA pageant. And tonight I see the psychic that told my mom I was gay. This oughtta be good...

  1. Well, on Survivor did you have a 50% chance? Good job on Miss USA, though. You must be psychic, too! Why then, are you going to see a psychic? Particularly the same one your mom saw who said you are gay? Are you going to use your psychic powers to discern whether the psychic might also be gay and explore options for starting a Gay Mediums reality show? Or for some other reason? Out of curiosity, did you share with the psychic that you are the Gay daughter or are you keeping that to yourself for now? Enquiring minds want to know.

  2. On Survivor: No, there were 3 finalists, and I had been rooting for Sandra all season, but it seemed pretty unlikely until the very end. On Miss USA: I liked Michigan from the beginning but her "interview" seemed so bizarre, I was almost sure she wouldn't win. So they were both pretty surprising.

And the psychic: I haven't told him anything, and I don't plan to. I want to see what he says. My mom met him at a party a few weeks ago, and she asked if he'd come to our house and do a reading for all of us -- mom, brother, sister and me. I've just always been interested in it. I'll keep y'all updated... :)

  3. I love psychics. I've been to one very good one. I also had the opportunity to attend one of those Jonathan Edwards type shows with a medium who actually scored higher than Edwards in accuracy in some kind of university experiment. Her name is Suzane Northrup. Website www.theseance.com. She lives in NY, i think. Anyway, this woman was unbelievable and my husband's brother came through and said some things that were dead on accurate. It was pretty astounding and I do not believe there was any kind of trickery involved as I was the one who set up the event at the hotel where I worked at the time, and also, although I was invited, said I couldn't go and only showed up very unexpectedly mid-way through. Deep breath. Don't get me started on this stuff, Becca. I get very excited. I'll be waiting to hear about your experience!

  6. I don't believe absolutely in psychics, but I find them interesting. If nothing else, it can give you a new perspective on things. Will post results soon. :)

MISS AMERICAN TALIBAN! :D I love that people are freaking out because she's Lebanese/part-Muslim. Dude, she went to a CATHOLIC high school. I don't think she's exactly an extremist terrorist threat...

And I love Miss USA because it doesn't even pretend to be a "scholarship program." Genuine, old-school, "who looks hottest in a bikini" beauty pageant. And on top of all that? This chick has an MBA in Economics. You go, girl! :)

  7. Dalia-my psychic predicted you would say that:-)
I like Miss America, too, but I haven't seen it in a while. What I think we also need, though, is a masculine equivalent of the contest with all the same categories. I know there is a Mr. America bodybuilding competition, or at least there used to be, but this would be for the pretty boys. You know, who looks hottest in their bikini, who has the most talent, who can explain how they would bring about world peace (better than Ms. South Carolina)

  8. "She is a ticking time bomb!"

Miss America being an Arab doesn't freak me out.
    She's even wearing a bikini!!!
She's the one that should worry, tho!
Her fellow Arab bigots love beautiful Arab girls looking that conservative!.
